Glow For It Run

Details: The run begins at 7:30 pm. The courses of 1 mile and 5k will be set out around town. 1 mile will do 1 lap around Peetz and the 5k will go south to the corner on CR 72 and back and 1 lap around town.  The registration cost for 1 mile or 5k (run or walk) will be $20.00 for adults, $15.00 for youth 7-17 and free for children under 7 (but they can purchase a t-shirt)  Register before September 1st to get a t-shirt. We need time to order and get shirts delivered.  "Get Your Glow On" gear pack can be purchased for $7.50 and you will receive some fun glow in the dark items in your bag and you won't have to go shopping for them. Race day packet pickup will begin at 6:00 pm. "Glowing Personality" award for the best dressed for adult and youth, so start planning your outfits now! All proceeds will be donated to the Peetz Elementary Group to use for playground equipment improvements.

Details: To promote fitness and fun, the Girl Scouts are inviting school-aged youth and their families to participate in a 2K.  There will be obstacles for youth of ALL ages! There will be door prizes, and fun after-race activities. This event will help empower youth to adopt active healthy lifestyles and will help build a community of young runners. Registration begins at 1:30 PM the day of the race. The cost is $10.00 per person (ages 4 and up)   (Children 3 & under - FREE) Family Fun Run Max Cost per family is $40.00. The start-line window will open at 2:30 PM with waves going every few minutes!   Make sure you plan your day with plenty of time.   The start line is its own pre-race party with music, dancing, and warm-ups.  No dogs, bicycles, or skates allowed. Event held rain or shine. NO REFUNDS.  All funds from this event go to our local troops!

Potter Duckpin Bowling Alley

Details: You can rent the alley at $50 for a 4 hour period.  Morning, afternoon, or evening timeslots.  There is even black light bowling available.
      "Duckpin bowling was invented in 1900 in Baltimore, MD. The name comes from the resemblance of the wildly-flying little pins to a flock of flying ducks”
      This is a project that has been going on for many years and has come together through the help of many volunteers, and organizations both civil and school . All the funds raised from renting the space are used in the restoration and maintenance of the bowling alley, bathrooms, and adjoining party room. It is owned by the Potter Historical Foundation.
