Where: Lodgepole Valley Youth Camp
Details: Learn the basics and explore the science of sewing and at the Pajama Party Workshop. This workshop is from 8:00 am to noon. Participants will make their own pillowcase, pajama pants and decorate a t-shirt to match. The completed outfit may be modeled at the county fair. A limited number of sewing machines are available to use during the workshop.

| Boating Safety Course |
Name of Event: Boating Safety Course
Who: Nebraska Game and Parks Commission
Date: Monday, June 10, 2013 - 5:00 pm-8:00 pm
Where: Cabela’s Retail store in Sidney
Details: A Boating Safety course is required of all power boat operators born after December 31, 1985, which includes operators of personal watercraft and all other motorboats. The minimum age to operate a motorboat in Nebraska is 14. The course covers everything from equipment requirements to safe boat operation and accident prevention, and is a great course for both new and experienced boaters. Boat owners who complete the class may qualify for insurance discounts. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children and boaters of all ages are welcome. Students must be at least 14, or turning 14 this calendar year to be certified. The home-study with proctored exam option allows students to study online, then attend a shortened review and test session. That session will be offered June 10 from 5 to 8:00 p.m. The $10 fee for this course has been waived. Preregistration is required and there are minimum student requirements for the class to be held.

21st Annual Ash Hollow Historical Pageant

Event Name: 21st Annual Ash Hollow Historical Pageant
Date: Friday, June 14 & Saturday, 15, 2013
Where: Ash Hollow State Park - Lewellen, NE
Details: This year’s show “Oregon Trail to Wild West” tells the story of what it was like to be a pioneer in the last years of the Oregon Trail. The performance is based on actual diaries. Guests enjoy the free outdoor performance that includes a local cast, regional band, and the beautiful setting of the park at sunset. Performance begins at 6:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday night.
Right before the pageant, from 5:00 p.m. to – 6:30 p.m. each night, there is a $10.00/adult & $6.00/child “Chuck Wagon Supper” that consists of roast beef, fry bed, baked beans, and salad. The campfire trailing through the air makes for an evening reminiscent of nights on the trail.
On Saturday morning, there is a 5K run through Ash Hollow as well. Registration desk will open at 7:00 a.m. and the run begins at 8:00 a.m.

Details: This will be a drill intensive technique training camp for wrestlers aged 10 and older* .“Pink Out Dual.” to follow on Sunday June 16th @ 2:00 pm (Weigh-in 1:00-2:00 pm) This camp will focus on Neutral, Top and Bottom position technique with an emphasis on scoring points. Campers will be taught technique and drills that will help improve their performance and help them achieve their goals. The registration fee for this camp is $50.00.
*Wrestlers younger than 10 permitted with prior screening and approval determined by experience
