KSID is looking to fill part-time positions immediately! If you’re interested in radio, want flexible scheduling, and want to help KSID’s on-air programming sound great by working behind-the-scenes, get in touch with us and you could be in the world of radio!!! This is a great chance to gain valuable experience and earn some money!
We want enthusiastic people that can join our team ASAP, get trained, and be ready to hit the fall sports season in full swing!
Duties include:
*Board Operations for Husker Sports Nightly program.
*Board Operations for local high school sports broadcasts.
*Board Operations for University of Nebraska games.
*Loading radio shows into KSID system.
*Voicing on-air newscasts, sportscasts, weather and funeral notices on weekend shift.
*Monitoring severe weather situations.
*Other on-air opportunities could be included later for the right candidate, but this is NOT an on-air position for shows, live sports or DJ work.
Requirements:
*Ability to work weeknights and / or weekends.
*Must be available Friday nights during the fall high school football season.
*Must be a “team player” and work well with others.
*Basic knowledge of computers, Internet, and electronic technology.
*Must be at least 16 years of age.

KSID Friday Night Football Scoreboard Show Host
KSID Radio is looking for an energetic host for this fall’s Friday Night Football Scoreboard show! Details are still being finalized but the hour-long show will run after the live broadcasts of local football games on KSID as it has the past two seasons. Be a part of a growing tradition with KSID’s high school football coverage!
Duties Include:
*Hosting a LIVE football scoreboard show each Friday night during the regular season and through our local teams’ run in the playoffs!
*Gathering scores on Friday nights, and preparing for show segments.
*Interviews with coaches as they call in to the show.
*Getting scores to board operators for play-by-play announcers during games
*Working with the Sports Director to produce the show.
Requirements:
*Must be available Friday nights during football season.
*Must be comfortable with a LIVE on-air show, training available if needed.
*Ability to speak and read clearly on the radio.
*Have knowledge of local high schools that are important to our listeners
*Knowledge of high school football in Nebraska is MANDATORY!
*Knowledge of computers, Internet and technology
*Must be organized
You’ll be working as part of a team at the studio by helping gather scores for our on air broadcasts of live football while also getting prepared for the show. You’ll have a co-host that can run the sound board if desired.
