NVAR riders to stop in Sidney on their way to nation’s capital

SIDNEY, Neb. - The National Veteran’s Awareness Ride (NVAR) motorcyclists will be in Sidney Saturday morning scheduled between 9:30-10:00 A.M for a gas stop off of Exit 59.

NVAR is a ten-day ride across the country which began in Auburn, California May 15, and will end in Washington, D.C., May 26. According to their official website, during the ride, the motorcyclists visit veterans’ hospitals and homes to spend time with vets and thank them for their service. They also speak at schools about the pride of patriotism and the importance of veterans in society.

As the riders exit Interstate 80, locals are encouraged to line up along the off ramp to show support for their long trek. For more information regarding NVAR, visit their website, nvar.us.
