Colin Milton

Colin Milton, 74, of Kimball, died at his home in Kimball on Saturday, April 28, 2018, with all of his children and older grandchildren to wish him on his way with love and affection. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Kimball with Pastor Carla Gunn officiating. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to view Colin’s Tribute Wall and leave condolences and stories for the family. Memorials may be given to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The services for Colin have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Colin Milton was born in Bristol England on February 22, 1944, the son of Gordon and Dulcie (Mills) Milton. He received his early education in England. He moved with his family to the United States when he was 10 years old. They lived in New Jersey and he graduated from high school in 1963. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1964. While being stationed at Langley Air Force Base, he worked as an electronic technician on fighter jets. Colin was married to Wanda Hoskin in Denver on March 13, 1964. They lived in Colorado for 45 years and Colin worked as an electrical technician until going to work for the US Postal Service in 1976 as an Information Technologist. He retired in 2005 and moved to Kimball. He loved spending time fixing things and doing electrical work. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and camping and doing any outdoor activities. Colin was a fan of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and the original Star Trek. Colin became an animal lover, thanks to his children. He loved his German Sheppard dogs, especially Sadie who worked on search and rescue with him and his present dog, Lady.

Survivors include his wife Wanda of Kimball, NE; son Daniel (Tristan) Milton of Reed Point, MT; daughters Laura (David) Whelchel of Harrisburg, NE., and Amy (Ian) Maxwell of Englewood, FL; sister Kathleen (Bill) Ketch of Randolph, NJ; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. His parents and daughter Amanda Milton Cronkhite preceded him in death.
