Louise Martin, 91, Omaha & formerly Dalton
Louise Martin passed away in Omaha, NE on Monday, June 30. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Dennis DePorte of Omaha; grandchildren, Stephanie and David Eshal of Los Angeles, CA and Alan DePorte of Omaha; great-granddaughter, Isabel Eshal of Los Angeles, CA; sister, June Biggs of Quincy, CA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brent and Karen Johnson, Bruce and Jean Johnson; sisters-in-law, Vivian Johnson and Ardis Johnson all of Ainsworth, NE; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 3 in the Dalton Presbyterian Church in Dalton, NE with Pastor Leon 'Bud" Gillespie officiating. Burial will be in the Dalton Cemetery. There is no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Dalton Presbyterian Church or the Dalton Legion Auxiliary. Roger Swanson, 78, Kimball
Roger Swanson of Kimball passed away at Kimball County Manor on Tuesday, July 1. Survivors include his sons, Robin (Suzie) Swanson of Dix, NE, Rodney (Patty) Swanson of Windsor, CO; two daughters, Diane (Larry) Wicks of Burns, WY and Kristy (Alan) Moehr of Ft. Morgan, CO; brother, Ralph Swanson of Louisville, KY and two sisters, Mae Harms of Grover, CO and Jane Frey of Golden, CO; six grandchildren.
Visitation is being held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Kimball with Rev. Roger Gillming officiating. Interment will be in the Kimball Cemetery and memorial can be made to the Kimball 4-H or the Kimball FFA. Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Elizabeth Strasheim, 93, Kimball
Elizabeth Strasheim of Kimball passed away at Kimball Health Services on Sunday, June 29. Survivors include sons Larry (Sharee) Strasheim of Denver, CO, Wes (Kenlynn) Strasheim of Highlands Ranch, CO, Gene (Betty) Strasheim of Colorado Springs, CO and John (Karen) Strasheim of Centennial, CO; daughter, Kathey (Jim) Disler of Ft. Collins CO; brother, Harry (Buelah) Burback of Kimball, NE; sister, Irene Young of Scottsbluff, NE; son-in-law, Wayne Smith of Longmont, CO; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is being held at the church on Saturday one hour prior to service time. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 5 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Kimball with Rev. Roger Gillming officiating. Interment will be in the Kimball Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Trinity United Methodist Church. Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
