Sidney boys edge out Scottsbluff to win B-4 District Golf

OGALLALA, Neb. - The Sidney Red Raiders Boys Golf team is heading to Columbus for the Class B State Championship. The Sidney team made up of three seniors, Connor Dormann, Cole Westfall and Jake Burke, along with junior Jackson Witt and sophomore Cayden Jobman, took first at the B-4 District competition Monday at West Winds in Ogallala with an overall score of 320.

Dormann led all golfers finishing the round with a 75, while Westfall finished tied for fourth in the standings firing a 77. Burke shot an 82, Jobman 86, and Witt wrapped up with a 91.

The team score of 320 was just enough for Sidney as Scottsbluff came in just behind at 321, and Adams Central took third at the event with a 322.

The Red Raiders will hit the links again May 22-23 at Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus for the Class B State Championship. There will be two rounds, each teeing off at 9:30 A.M. CDT.
